This is the most important part of this journey. Your tool. Your Gear. Your Truthing Journal. This is no ordinary book. I am asking that you dedicate a special journal just for you to record your lifes truths. I am proposing you make this a part of your sacred jounry. Pen and Ink recording the most important thing that you have. Your Truth.
Any Box will do. (When I started all I had was an old shoe box!)
This is your sacred box. In this box you will give God your cares, worries, thoughts, and burdens. When the lid is closed keep your hand on this box until your ready to let go. As the lid closes tell God your letting Him have charge of your heaviest burdens. Step back now. Hes got it. It's often hard to keep your burdens here. I often revisit the box, placing my hand on the box to remind myself the lid is closed. He really has "got this". (Refer to the message 'The Brenda Davis Story' for the full context]
If You do not have your own Bible, and cannot get one, reach out to me at truthingmovement@gmail.com and just write "Bible and your name on the subject line" then in the body tell me your address and we will get a Bible for you. But if you have access to a Bible try answering these questions in your Truthing Journal:
~Do I beleive this is a Man or a book?
~What do I think the bible is 'for'?
~What do I believe this book or Man could do for me in my life?
~If I do not believe in these words then what or how can I base the Truth in my life on? Refer back to John 8:32. ask: "Do I beleive that?"
When we start an epic journey we need to start with the most important truth. Jesus is that most critical starting point of truth. Start by writing this verse from John 14:6 at the top of your Truthing Journal. Start with the question: "What does Jesus mean that He is the Truth?"
In your Truthing Journal answer these questions: Can I know the truth? How Much of the Truth can I know? And If I do know the Truth what will this do for me or for my life? If I do NOT know the truth what will happen in my life? If Truth sets me free then what do lies do?
In Your Truthing Journal write: "Do I believe I can be truely free?" "Does God say I can be free?" "Who can set me free?" "How would God do that? Take a moment to write about what it would look like if you were free in every area?
In Your Truthing Journal Write and answer:
~Will I have thoughts rising up that I will need to deal with?
~What does it mean to take every thought captive?
~So are there thoughts that are obedient or disobedient to Truth? List examples of those happeing now in your mind in two columns or lists.
